I'm on holidays. Totally. Two weeks. Bloody awesome. I'm going to craft just for crafting/gifting sake, not for sale. A nice feeling.
This year my festive baking is cookies in a jar minus the nuts, as per Bakerella, cherry and cinnamon biscotti from Donna Hay Dec/Jan issue and cinnamon roasted almonds from Instructables. That cute deer graphic on the packaging below I pinched from Eat, Drink, Chic.
For the humbugs below I used butchers paper and Japanese Washi Masking Tape to decorate. These were our "crackers" for our work lunch. They had balloons, poppers, hats, chocolates and other small gifties in them. Always a hit with the crew, a small business of 7 people so thankfully pretty quick to put together.
Well I have made some stuff but no photos yet. So instead here's a list of tutorials/ideas from 2009 that I want to remember or try someday. Most of these have posted over at whipup this year. So, in no particular order:
Hi! Crafting is stalled but you know I have the usual GRAND holiday plans to sew a bucket load of quilt tops and make inroads to a bunch of other crafty goodness. I've already dobbed myself in to sew napkins and a table runner for Christmas lunch. Yeah I know, I can hear you all coughing *bullshit* behind your hands. If I get one quilt top done, I'll be a happy lady.
In the meantime, can I distract you with a dark, blurry video of Teddy's pre-walk performance? No? Too bad.
Hi I'm Nicole! I have been blogging over 5 years and live in Perth, Australia with my partner Sondra and 3 fur kids (Spud, Ted and Piggie). I have an addiction to crafts, in particular fabrics, but you'll find a mix of all sorts here, whatever tickles my fancy. So grab a cuppa and a little chocolate, sit back and have a relax and read.
