Craaaack!

Footrest_top_view_2

Looky, looky....finished the footrest. There's not often something I make that I feel like bragging about it. But this little baby I ♥ !! I walk past her and smile, saying that she was only finished hours ago. I was up early this morning sewing on the base and stuffing her. Sorry for the slightly blurry pics, I was in a rush before work to photograph her. I've included my toes for scale, sort of. I'll try and take some more pics another time. She's stuffed with bean bag beans. Some more pics here.

She was sewn in 2 lessons, 3.5 hours each, and I spent another 2-3 hours at home sewing her.

AND I'll be posting off my ornaments tomorrow. Here's the final packaging.

Wow, adorable, great work!

I think it turned out amazing, really. I love the fabric selections. Were you happy with them after it was done? Really, I'm totally impressed. I seriously need to consider making one. Wow, amazing, did I say that?

OMG do they sell the pattern? I totally would love to make this!!!

Fabulous!!

Hey ya'll :) thanks so much! It was fun to make and surprisingly not hard at all!

Pam - I am hapy with the fabric :) surprisingly.

Pam 2- That's why I did a course, they wouldn't sell the pattern :( but maybe if you email them and they get enough requests they'll sell the pattern :)

wow, that was some hefty task you took on.... but the results are amazing! Enjoy! And that packaging is really pretty, who ever receives will love it I'm sure.... so whats your next project?

What an amazing job - its beautiful. I have to say I really feel in love with the pattern when I saw it in the Kaffe Fassett book, but, just couldn't imagine having the patience or skill to pull it off. Yours is such a brilliant job - very inspiring!

Holy crap! THAT IS AMAZING!

wow! the footrest is fabulous. i envy your work!

That footrest is so awesome! I don't think many people have tackled the task of making a piece of furniture. To me thats a scary project. It turned out lovely.

Super footrest! Love the fun patterns and colors! (also love reading your blog)

I love reading your blog, but I like it even more now that I know you're into Leonard Cohen too! Sigh ~ I've had a crush on him since high school in the 80s...

You should be bragging about that footrest. It's gorgeous!

It is really, really beautiful and I glad ALL the comments make that REALLY obvious.

May your feet rest happily on it
and
May it not be covered in Spud hair

the footrest is beautiful... i love the vibrancy of the colors & patterns. looks really comfy too!

Oh my gosh! That footrest is just amazing!

Wow! It really is great. Talk about a conversation starter ... or a room starter as far as that goes! Your feet are going to enjoy that baby!

Lovely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That turned out to be a gorgeous piece of furniture! I love how it accents everything ... and congrats for making it yourself. :-)

Looks fabulous! I've eyed that Kaffe Fassett design before, but been too intimidated to try it (plus his suggestion was to take the patchwork to an upholsterer to put together). Fantastic project.

Speechless so I'll just write OUTSTANDING!

wow, that is one amazing footrest! You by all means should be bragging about that.... WOW!

WHHHHOOOOOOAAAHHHH!!
